eh magic hat– i shouldn’t hate on VT microbrew, but it is not my fave…although one year they made this porter called “Mardi Gras” and i swear it was only sold on tap at Christopher’s in Cambridge…le sigh. in other news i was in mourning for awhile when mackeson triple stout was discontinued, which reminds me, WE STILL NEED TO TRY AND RECREATE IT! after honk? please please?

Say it ain’t so! Jinx is one of my absolute favorites too. In my opinion, it’s the only Magic Hat beer worth drinking. I knew it was all going to end in tears when I saw Roxy Rolles in the shop today knowing that it’s usually a winter beer and there was no Jinx in sight. I’ll cherish the Jinx glasses I ordered from MH last year, and although I do look forward to Howl, it just won’t ever be the same!

This is Albionwood from LJ – nice looking blog you got here! (I need to do something like this for my radio program.) Your idea of food-beer pairing is a little more sophisticated then mine, which goes something like this:

Me: You know what would go really good with this food?

Wife: *eyeroll*

Me: BEER!

Homebrewing in an apartment is ambitious. My wife and I have a house and we need more room after just brewing our third batch. But there is nothing like drinking something that you (or one of your friends) made with your own hands. My wife brews with me too. Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
